Thanksgiving a lil' late

We are sorry that we missed Michigan for Thanksgiving, Thursday we were all tired and headed over to neighbors for some turkey. Today we made it here and had Tommy and YaYa over for a Thanksgiving feast. Frank cut his first turkey and I made my first Turkey (and had to clean up) NOT FAIR :) But, we have so much to be Thankful for this year.

Another trip

We went to the hospital again, and this time we stayed over night. Everything is going on schedule and we will have more information on Tuesday. Thank you for all the calls and support. The last picture is peanut and peanut (one is the rabbit and the other one Anna) On the Peds floor they have animals for the children. What a great idea :)

Asleep in the bassinet

Yes, finally, Anna is sleeping in her Bassinet (wieg), for a while, we had to use the bassinet to wake her up, like for feeding. We used to just put her in the bassinet and after 10 minutes she would be wide awake.... Untill today :)

Ever since Anna was conceived, we have been calling her little pumpkin. So how fitting that she has this shirt to get ready for halloween.

Nana is leaving

After almost three weeks, Nana is heading back to Arizona.
Wow, now that were alone, I really start to appreciate everything she did to help, even more.
Thanks for all your help.

Sleep at last

I guess somebody stole the camera and took a picture while I was sleeping, ahh well.
For some reason, Annalies can only sleep if she hears your hartbeat. So here she is, nice and comfy and asleep.

Four Generations of Louises

Here you have it, now you know why her middle name is Louise.
Mom's middle name is Louise, Grandma's middle name is Louise and Great Grandma's middle name is:..... You guessed it: Louise as well.
So to continue this family tradition, here is our little girl, Annalies Louise.

Baby's first bath

Here is Anna getting her first bath. boy does she like it.
for now we can only bath her with a washcloth and no running water, but nevertheless, its a blast.

Can you say protection

Annalies is so happy near the dogs and Angel and Buffy are so nice to her.
I don't think Anna has to worry about someone hurting her while the dogs are around :)

Resting at last

Finally mommy and Anna are getting the rest they need. After a short visit to the hospital this morning, all is good and well deserved rest is appreciated.

Her first trip to Target

Annalies went for her first trip to the store.
A new Super Target has opened and Anna went with us to it today.
Daddy knows he is going to spend so much money there :(

One week anniversary

Our little girl is one week old and sleeps and eats well.
She is well protected by the dogs, who really like her.
Eventhough everytime someone besides mommy and myself pick up the baby, they follow them and never let them out of their sites...

Mommy got her staples out

Today, Mommy got her staples taken out at the doctors office.
Anna is so happy to be in the arms of the person that decided what her birthday would be.
Doctor Colgrove is one of the best OB's around and did a great job on Anna birth.

Visitors

Here are Sharon and John from Wisconsin. They used to be Nana and grandpa's neigbors in Arizona.

Her first Monday night Football game

Eventhough when we say Football we actually mean soccer, Anna went to go see her first American Football match over at neighbors Jessica and Mark.
What fun it was, she only stayed out a short while but it was a blast.

Auntie Heather.

Here is Auntie Heather holding Anna in her own room.
After many weeks of hard work, the ocean themed room is almost done.
We still need to paint the faces (have the faces painted) on the mermaids, because everytime we did it, they looked demonic.

Daddy is so proud

As you can see the dogs are really good with the baby and have welcomed her into our family.
Buffy is still a little curious as to whom I'm refferring to now when I say little girl, but Angel is happy with his little sister.

The Family Tradition continues

My parents were nice enough to bring over the Bassinet (Wieg), that I was in as a baby.
Here she is in here bassinet all content and sleepy.

The doctor knows best

Anna is so enthrolled with the sound of the doctors voice, that no matter how hard she's crying, she'll calm down and be quiet and content. Doctor Narayan is listed as one of Chicago's top doctors in Chicago Magazine.

Her first doctors visit

Because she had a little bit of Jondaz (yellowness), Anna had to stay in the sun all day yesterday. Today she has an appointment with the Pediatrician. First we have to have blood drawn, from her little foot.... again :( she doesnt like it.
She did meet her first friend though, David, was waiting with his mommy for blood work as well.

Can you say swaddle

For some reason, Babies love to be swaddled.
Swaddling is (as I have found out) the artform of wrapping a baby in a receiving blanket without choking her, but making her feel constricted. This reminds the baby of her 9 month period in the mothers woom, when everything was still nice and dandy.

Back to work in 2 days

Wow, can you say workaholic. Our little girl is 14 minutes shy of being two days old and mommy is already back on the computer.
Nice thing to have Public Wireless Internet access at Rush University Hospital.

Her first Photo shoot

While still in the hospital, Anna had her first photo-shoot.

Finally, the longest 10 seconds of our lives.

Waiting for that first cry of the baby takes way to long.
those 10 seconds took about 2 hours. But then she started, what a wonderfull sound.
